Vocational Classes
Thunderbird cadets will have the opportunity to learn and explore different trades through our partnership with Northeast Tech. This invaluable relationship allows cadets to expand their potential and introduce them to new career paths.

Company Formation takes place Thursdays after school, during which banners and awards are given to the cadets and platoons who perform the best in respective areas throughout the current week. At TCP, we believe in rewarding excellence and fostering healthy competition among our cadets. These banners and awards each represent a crucial aspect of cadet life and development:
⭐ The Most Valuable Cadet (MVC) is selected by our counselors to recognize an exceptional cadet who demonstrates leadership and exemplifies Thunderbird’s core values.
✏️ The Learner of the Week (LOW) is selected by our teachers to honor a student who demonstrates exemplary behavior, strong effort, and serves as a positive role model in the classroom.
Academics Banner (+ rubber duck) -- learning group that best demonstrated academic excellence, commitment to learning, and good behavior.
Supply Shield – least amount of lost or damaged items needing replacement from supply.
Barracks Banner – highest earned inspection score for cleanliness, orderliness, and attention to detail.
PT Banner – best performing platoon in Physical Training.
D&C Banner – best performing platoon in Drill & Ceremony.
Spirit Banner – best cadence performed for Pass and Review, showing precision and coordination.
Heavyweight Belt – the dominant platoon that earned the most banners in a given week.
Note: Not all group banners are awarded every week, and not every platoon is guaranteed to earn an award! Check out our last post to see who won each award this week at the first Company Formation of Cycle 66. ... See MoreSee Less
